Excedrin Election Edition (2020)

"I don't share everything that I get, but I am, like...this is too good. This was the best gift of election season." --Candace Cameron Bure, Full House actor/Influencer

In case you hadn’t noticed, 2020 had a big election. With heated debates. Angry ads. Explosive rallies.

It’s enough to give anyone a headache.

So, we helped Excedrin launch a campaign of their own:

The Campaign Against Head Pain.

Because we knew that no matter how crazy the election got,

or how much it makes your head hurt,

Excedrin could be there to help.

It's the one campaign promise you can count on.

Together with a designer, I lead the creative development and pitched multiple ideas for media mailers, which the team chose between based on budget, creative interest, and ease of production. I lead copywriting duties for the media mailer itself, accompanying microsite, and social media push.

The idea was to create custom caricatures of our targeted influencers, which opened down the middle (representing a splitting headache), and include custom self-care items and the brand's special limited edition Excedrin Election Edition SKU.

The campaign was highly successful, hitting our KPIs before the campaign was paused due to an unrelated internal production issue.
